One strategy is gathering personal stories from pharmacists, or patients about their first hand account of PBM abuse. Under a recently finalized rule, providers enrolling in Medicare, Medicaid, or CHIP will be required to disclose current or previous “affiliations” with other providers or suppliers with certain public integrity infractions. Specifically, CMS will require disclosure during enrollment of any current or previous affiliation with another provider and/or supplier that has uncollected debt or has been excluded, suspended, or had billing privileges revoked from a federal healthcare program.
